Image segmentation is a crucial step in processing images. One popular method for segmentation is histogram-based thresholding, which helps separate different parts of an image. In this study, researchers combined two thresholding methods, Otsu and Kapur, to improve image segmentation. They developed a new algorithm called D-MOSG, which outperformed other existing algorithms in segmenting images effectively.
