Gender wage gap persists at Canadian university despite decade-long efforts.
The University of Manitoba studied salaries to see if the pay gap between men and women had changed since 1993. They found that, even after ten years, the gap in pay between males and females has not really changed much in size. The reasons for this gap have shifted a bit, with women being more common in lower-paying positions and less common in higher-paying ones. Other factors like education level and experience also play a role in the wage difference.
