Temperate Forests Vanishing Worldwide, Threatening Biodiversity and Livelihoods
Temperate forests are mainly found in the Northern Hemisphere, with some in the Southern Hemisphere. In the north, trees shed leaves yearly, while in the south, trees keep leaves all year. These forests are in Europe, North America, Asia, South America, Australia, and New Zealand. They are often damaged by human activities. The rocks, soil, plants, and disturbances in these forests vary a lot.
