Aquatic vegetation in Longgan Lake was studied in 1993, revealing 50 different plant species covering almost 90% of the lake's area. The plants play a crucial role in the lake's ecosystem and fishery production, with a potential increase of 4181.8 tons per year if fish farming is expanded. The researchers suggest that the 2147730 tons of aquatic vegetation should be used wisely to benefit both the environment and fishing industry.
