The article discusses how factor scores are computed after determining factor loadings in a statistical model. Exact factor scores can be calculated in a principal components analysis model, while methods for computing factor scores in a common factor analysis model are also presented. However, the study suggests that the value of using factor scores is limited because the estimated scores may not be accurate.
