Global Trade Landscape Transformed as Regional Agreements Reshape WTO Rules
This research looks at trade rules in regional trade agreements (RTAs) and how they compare to world trade rules. It uses a big dataset to study all RTAs under the WTO. The findings show that RTAs have new trading rules, and the differences from the global trade rules could affect RTA members and non-members of RTAs. The research gives insights into the debate about how the WTO controls global trade and how its rules connect with the new rules made by RTAs.
