Unlocking the Power of ANOVAs: Simplifying Complex Data Analysis
The article discusses different types of analysis of variances (ANOVAs) and the commands used for each. One-way ANOVA is for independent samples, repeated measures ANOVA is for correlated samples, and factorial ANOVA is for multiple predictors. The output is simpler for one-way and factorial ANOVAs, but more complex for repeated measures ANOVA. Follow-up contrasts can be done with targeted t-tests. SPSS is used for specifying ANOVAs.
