This article presents a simple model of a Cookie Vending Machine created using Petri nets, which are diagrams representing how things happen simultaneously in modern systems. The researchers looked at how the model works and checked if it behaves correctly by analyzing and simulating it in Matlab. They used the Petri Net Toolbox to run their tests.
