Cryptocurrencies were once seen as a potential replacement for traditional money, but a study comparing them found that fiat money is still preferred. Researchers used a method called the analytic hierarchy process to evaluate the performance of both options based on nine factors. The results showed that fiat money is still the better choice over cryptocurrencies for various reasons.
