Light and Sound Can Now Control Your Behavior, Study Finds
Pavlovian conditioning, also known as classical conditioning, is a training method where an organism learns to respond to a new stimulus by associating it with a natural trigger. For example, a light or sound can be paired with food or a shock to make the organism react in a certain way. The new stimulus becomes a conditioned stimulus that elicits a response similar to the natural trigger, but weaker. This learned response is called a conditioned response.
