Quality Function Deployment (QFD) is a method to figure out what customers want and turn that into plans for making products that meet those wants. The "voice of the customer" is what customers say they need, even if they don't say it out loud. This info is put into a matrix called the house of quality (HOQ). This matrix helps turn big customer needs into specific details on how to meet them. QFD is a way to make sure quality is considered in every step of making a product or service.
