Cadastral maps are important for managing land, but they can be confusing because cadastral systems vary between countries. This article compares the Danish and Australian systems to show how cadastral maps are used differently. The researchers found that creating and maintaining digital multi-purpose cadastral maps is complex because maps designed for traditional land markets are different from modern multi-purpose maps.
