Paper Summary

The study compared two soil tillage methods over 8 years in Belgium. Conventional tillage had lower soil strength and higher porosity in the topsoil compared to reduced tillage. Reduced tillage had higher soil strength in the topsoil and larger pore sizes in the subsoil. Both tillage methods showed changes in soil properties with depth, affecting root growth.
