The article presents a detailed model of mental health issues, starting from individual symptoms and moving up to a general factor of psychopathology. The researchers looked at hundreds of symptoms from 18 different mental health disorders in two large groups of people. They found that there are common patterns in how symptoms are related, even across different populations.
