Climate Models Accurately Predict Winter Precipitation in Romania, Enabling Reliable Local Adaptation Strategies
The researchers used a method to check if climate models accurately predict regional rainfall in Romania. They also tested if a technique that links large-scale weather patterns to local rainfall can still work in a future with higher carbon dioxide levels. The models were good at predicting winter rainfall, but not as accurate for other seasons. However, the technique still seems reliable for describing how regional rainfall might change in the future, at least for winter in Romania.
