The study looked at future rainfall in the Cauvery Basin in India. They used data from 16 different climate models to predict rainfall changes by the mid and end of the century. Rainfall is expected to increase during the South West Monsoon and post-monsoon seasons, but not much change is expected in the pre-monsoon season. Overall, annual rainfall is projected to be higher in the future compared to the baseline period. This information can help in planning for future water management in agriculture.
