The study shows that traditional panel models can give wrong results when there are different effects between groups. They introduce a new model called fixed effects individual slope (FEIS) that can handle these differences. They also suggest tests to check if the traditional model is biased. In tests, the FEIS model performed well and changed conclusions in real-world examples like wages and education benefits.
