Indian Banks Face Growing Market and Liquidity Risks, Study Reveals.
The article examines how Indian banks manage market and liquidity risks from 2016 to 2021. They studied six large public and private banks and found that all banks face credit, market, liquidity, and operational risks. Public banks are better at reporting their risk management practices than private banks. However, there is no significant difference between public and private banks in how they assess, evaluate, and control market and liquidity risks.
