The study looked at the diversity of tree species in Mahavir Swami Wildlife Sanctuary in India using satellite data. They used different indices to measure species diversity and found that the Shannon-Weiner index was best for assessing species richness, while Simpson's diversity index was better for determining overall species diversity. The results showed that the forest has a variety of species and that this information can help with forest management to keep the species healthy.
