Frozen embryos with high-grade Day 6 blastocysts outperform low-grade Day 5 in live births
The study found that transferring high-grade Day 6 blastocysts resulted in a higher live birth rate compared to low-grade Day 5 blastocysts. The live birth rate was highest for high-grade Day 5 blastocysts and lowest for low-grade Day 6 blastocysts. High-grade Day 6 blastocysts also had a higher rate of normal chromosome numbers compared to low-grade Day 5 blastocysts. This suggests that choosing high-quality Day 6 blastocysts may lead to a higher chance of successful pregnancy.
