The article presents a method to predict surface subsidence caused by longwall mining using overburden grouting. The researchers developed a new mining technique called partial overburden grouting (POG) to reduce overburden failure and subsidence. They created a model to calculate surface subsidence with overburden grouting and tested it in the field. The results showed that POG technology effectively controls surface subsidence at a lower cost compared to traditional methods.
