Devilfish Meal Cleans Ceramic Wastewater, Boosts Environmental Sustainability
In this study, a team tested a natural substance from an invasive fish called devilfish to clean up dirty water from ceramic factories. They mixed this fish-based substance with aluminum sulfate and ferric sulfate to see how well they remove impurities like dirt and chemicals. By experimenting with different mixtures and doses, they found the best combo – using 35% devilfish substance and 65% ferric sulfate – can clean up around 75-95% of the nasties in the water. This method is not only effective but also cost-friendly for treating wastewater from ceramic production. They proved that devilfish can be a good and economical option for purifying water when combined with ferric sulfate.
