Putting Safety First: Prioritizing Driver Safety Reduces Sleepy Driving Risk
The study looked at how truck drivers' focus on safety affects their tendency to drive while sleepy. They surveyed 399 Turkish truck drivers and found that prioritizing safety leads to less sleepy driving. They used both linear and non-linear models to analyze the data and found that the linear model showed a stronger effect of safety priority on reducing sleepy driving. The results suggest that emphasizing safety can help prevent drowsy driving among truck drivers.
