Dutch SMEs Fail to Manage Financial Risks Rationally, Putting Businesses at Risk.
The study looked at how small and medium-sized businesses in the Netherlands manage financial risks. They found that despite efforts to manage risks, the level of risk in these businesses does not match the level of risk management. Factors like company size and the education level of the risk manager were thought to influence risk management, but the study found no significant relationship between these factors and the level of financial risk management. This suggests that Dutch SMEs do not manage their financial risks rationally.
