No-tillage boosts crop yields in arid regions with fertilization.
Reduced tillage, like no-tillage, works better than regular tillage in dry conditions and after fertilization. However, conventional tillage is more effective in high fertility settings. This study looked at how different tillage methods affect crop yield and found that no tillage is best in arid areas with added fertilizers, while conventional tillage is better in high fertility conditions. The results were consistent across different crops, showing that reducing tillage can be a good option for sustainable agriculture.
