Salicylic acid boosts salt-stressed mung bean growth, revolutionizing agriculture.
The study looked at how salt stress affects mung bean plants and how salicylic acid can help reduce this stress. Different concentrations of salt were used to test the plant's tolerance, along with varying levels of salicylic acid. The results showed that pre-soaking the seeds in salicylic acid at a concentration of 2 ppm improved plant growth even in the presence of salt stress. This improvement may be due to salicylic acid's ability to promote cell division, regulate osmotic pressure, hormonal balance, and enhance photosynthesis.
