The article explores blending different types of kerosene to make jet fuel more efficiently. By mixing hydrocracked kerosene used for jet fuel with hydrotreated kerosene used for diesel, they found that jet fuel production can increase by up to 2.5 times. This blending also helps control the aromatics in the kerosene and improves the low temperature properties of the diesel fuel.
