Companies' Environmental Spending Boosts Profits on Bombay Stock Exchange
The study looked at how companies spending money on environmental protection affects their profitability. They analyzed data from 18 companies on the Bombay Stock Exchange over 10 years. The results showed that there is a positive relationship between environmental protection costs and profitability measures like Return on Capital Employed, Return on Assets, Net Profit Margin, and Dividend per Share. This means that when companies invest in environmental protection, it can actually help them make more money.
