Unlocking the Energy Potential of Orange Peel Waste for Sustainable Future
Researchers studied how orange peel breaks down when heated. They used a special machine to heat the peel at different speeds and found that the process happens in four stages. By using different methods, they calculated that the energy needed for this breakdown ranges from 28 to 90 KJ/mol, and the speed of the reaction ranges from 107 to 1013 min−1. They also discovered that as the breakdown progresses, more energy is needed.
