The study looked at how well countries in Central Africa manage their money. Some countries like Congo, Equatorial Guinea, and Gabon struggle to handle their finances, while others like Cameroon, Central African Republic, and Chad do better. The rules these countries have in place to control spending and debt don't actually help them save money. The researchers suggest that these countries should change their spending rules to make sure they don't spend too much.
