LULC changes in Brahmani River Basin lead to 6% increase in surface runoff.
The study used a hydrological model to look at how changes in land use and land cover affected surface runoff in the Brahmani River Basin from 1983 to 2019. They found that runoff increased by 6.06% due to a decrease in infiltration rate during this period. The Soil Conservation Services model performed better than the Green-Ampt model in simulating runoff in the basin.
