Water quality in Vietnam's An Giang Province exceeds limits, urgent action needed.
The study looked at water quality in An Giang Province from 2011 to 2019. They found that some water quality variables like temperature and pH were okay, but others like total suspended solids, coliforms, and oil and grease were too high. By using cluster analysis, they reduced the number of sampling points and saved money on monitoring. Principal component analysis showed that pollution sources like wastewater and solid waste were major factors affecting water quality. The study suggests the need for better waste management and public awareness to protect the environment.
