New bacterial combo boosts maize growth and reduces global phosphorus demand!
Scientists aimed to find bacteria that can help maize grow better by making phosphorus more available in the soil. They tested 24 strains from maize roots and found that strains I13 (Ag87) and I17 (Ag94) were the best at promoting maize growth and increasing phosphorus content in the plant. These bacteria could be used as a microbial treatment in Brazilian agriculture to improve crop yield.
