The study analyzed how vegetation in China changed from 1981 to 2019 and what drove these changes. They found that vegetation coverage increased overall, with the most significant growth in the middle Yellow River basin and upper Yangtze River. The center of vegetation growth shifted southward, with temperature affecting southern China's vegetation growth and precipitation affecting the north. The main factors influencing vegetation change varied across different regions during the study period.
