Mapping Invasive Plant Species: Predicting Global Biodiversity Threats with Precision.
Invasive plant species can harm biodiversity, but we can predict where they might spread using models. These models use climate and environmental data to map where invasive species might thrive. There are traditional methods and newer machine learning techniques like Generalized linear model, Support vector machines, Gradient boosting machine, k-nearest neighbor, and Random Forest. These methods help us create accurate maps of where invasive plants could spread, helping us better manage and protect our ecosystems.
