Building information modelling (BIM) is seen as a way to make construction more efficient. In Sweden, BIM is important for wood construction projects because of their high level of prefabrication. However, there are many barriers to fully implementing BIM in this industry. By studying expert opinions, 34 barriers were identified. A model was created to suggest solutions to overcome these barriers and improve BIM implementation in wood construction projects in Sweden. Identifying these barriers is crucial for making decisions and policies to promote BIM in construction.
