Environmental regulations boost corporate green initiatives, benefiting large-scale firms in China.
Environmental regulations have a big impact on how companies behave when it comes to the environment. A study looked at how these regulations affect firms in China from 2011 to 2020. They found that when regulations are stricter, companies are more motivated to take care of the environment. Inspectors who check on environmental protection also play a role in this. The study showed that bigger companies and non-state businesses are the ones most affected by these regulations.
