Malaysia revolutionizes asset management to boost government efficiency and services.
Asset management is becoming increasingly important in Malaysia due to changes in urban development. The Malaysian government has introduced MySPATA, a system to manage and monitor fixed assets across government ministries. This system includes four key documents to standardize asset management practices. The focus is on effectively managing, monitoring, maintaining, and disposing of assets to ensure they are used for their intended purposes. The study examines Malaysia's current asset management practices and highlights both the benefits and drawbacks of the current approach.
