China's Agricultural Services Boost Productivity and Curb Emissions, Transforming Sustainable Farming
Improving how efficiently we use resources in farming is crucial for sustainable agriculture. By looking at data from different provinces in China over a decade, researchers found that using agricultural services, a new way of farming, helped increase productivity. They measured carbon emissions from farming and found that they decreased over time, especially due to government policies. Agricultural services boosted productivity, with technology playing a key role. In the eastern part of China, these services had a bigger impact on productivity compared to the western region.
