A study in Slovenia looked at the effects of a big increase in the minimum wage on different types of workers. They found that workers who were paid less than the new minimum wage had a harder time keeping their jobs or finding new ones. Companies started hiring workers who could make more money for them, but the most skilled workers still needed the less skilled workers to do well.
