Advanced paternal age linked to decreased embryo quality in IVF cycles.
The study looked at how the age of the father and the quality of his sperm DNA affect outcomes in IVF cycles using donor eggs. They divided the patients into four groups based on age and sperm DNA quality. The results showed that older fathers with high sperm DNA fragmentation had fewer high-quality embryos and blastocysts compared to other groups. However, overall, the age of the father and sperm DNA quality did not significantly impact the success of the IVF cycles using donor eggs.
