Vietnam faces significant temperature and rainfall increases by end of century.
A new climate dataset for Vietnam was created to predict future temperature and rainfall changes. By using data from global climate models and observations, the study found that Vietnam will continue to get warmer until the end of the 21st century. The average temperature is expected to rise by 1.3 to 3.85 degrees Celsius, with more warming in the north and in summer. Rainfall is also projected to increase, especially in Central Vietnam during the rainy season. These changes are based on different emission scenarios and could have significant impacts on the country's climate in the coming decades.
