New study identifies stable and high-yielding wheat genotypes for East Africa.
The researchers studied 385 Ethiopian durum wheat types to find stable and high-yielding ones. They used AMMI and GGE-biplot methods to analyze the data from five test sites. The study identified several genotypes like G169, G420, and G415 as stable and high-yielding across different environments. These genotypes could be used to develop better durum wheat varieties for East Africa and beyond.
