Climate interpolation methods reveal shifting precipitation and evaporation patterns in Gansu.
The study looked at different ways to estimate climate data in specific areas using geostatistics. They focused on precipitation and evaporation in Gansu province from 1961 to 1990. By comparing two methods, they found that Cokriging, which considers altitude, gave more accurate results than ordinary Kriging. Both methods showed clear patterns of how precipitation and evaporation change across the region. Overall, geostatistics can help us understand climate patterns better, but there is still room for improvement in the accuracy of these estimates.
