Simulator driving induces sickness and high mental workload, study finds.
The study compared how people feel when driving in a real car versus a driving simulator. Professional drivers were asked to drive in both settings under normal and time pressure conditions. The results showed that driving under time pressure and spending more time in the simulator can make people feel more stressed and sick. This lack of experience with virtual reality can lead to feeling sick, having a heavy mental workload, and feeling less connected to the virtual world.
