The article discusses how to efficiently collect accurate 3D point cloud data using LiDAR technology for road modeling. By scanning roads and surroundings with LiDAR RS-LIDAR-16 at different stations, researchers obtained 3D laser point clouds. They then processed the data to remove noise and align the point clouds. The results show that this method effectively models 3D point clouds from different stations with good accuracy.
