Fruit-Vegetable Waste Boosts Bakery Sludge Vermicomposting for Nutrient-Rich Soil.
The researchers mixed bakery waste with fruit and vegetable scraps to make compost using earthworms. They found that the compost had more nutrients and was better for plants. The earthworms grew well and made lots of babies in the compost. The best mix was two parts cow dung, one part bakery waste, and one part fruit and vegetable scraps. This mix had the right nutrients for plants and didn't harm them. Adding fruit and vegetable waste made the compost better than just using bakery waste alone.
