Boosting farm incomes in Zimbabwe through smarter agricultural practices.
Agricultural commercialization in small farms in Zimbabwe's Zhombe North Rural District was studied using data from 165 households. Factors like land size, fertilizer use, credit access, and certified seed use were found to increase agricultural commercialization. On the other hand, factors like household head age, food cropping land size, and off-farm employment had a negative impact. The study suggests that policies promoting input availability and usage can enhance agricultural commercialization in the area.
