The study looked at how to better control indoor temperatures in Canadian homes. They tested different HVAC systems in a typical home and found that the current system doesn't do a good job of keeping rooms comfortable. By using different zoning models, they found that both floor-level and room-level zoning systems were much better at maintaining a comfortable temperature in all rooms compared to the standard single-zone system.
