Feeding Less Boosts Growth of Freshwater Prawns in Pond Aquaculture
The study looked at how feeding less food to freshwater prawns in ponds affects their growth and feed use. They compared prawns fed freely to those given 25% or 50% less food. Prawns given 50% less food grew faster and used food more efficiently. However, their survival rate was lower compared to prawns fed freely. The study suggests that prawns can grow well even with less food, but survival rates may be affected.
